Update

Where do I begin? I keep thinking I will get better at this and keep it updated. That has not happened yet. We are in waiting mode right now. We were hoping that we would be home from Ethiopia this summer, however, it looks as if it will late Fall at the earliest. We know that God is at work and in complete control. We know He has his hand on our baby and his timing is perfect. We are leaning on the Lord's understanding and not our own.

Our case worker said this would be the hardest part. We did not believe her at first, we were so thankful to be finished with all the paperwork and then with Christmas. But now that we have been on the waiting list for over 2 months waiting is very hard. We are meeting other families in Arlington that are adopting from Ethiopia......we wonder what God is up to!

Our kids are busy with all their activities. We had a wonderful Christmas with family we had not seen in awhile and a great ski trip. We had so much fun and can't wait to go again next year.
Here are a few things we would appreciate you praying for:
1. The safety, health and welfare of our child
2. Finances needed to bring him/her home
3. That Jim & I would let go of all expectations
4. Mission Arlington is going well. However, we are missing corporate worship more than we can stand. We are looking for a church with an early service so we can worship together as a family and Alex can get plugged into the youth.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
